Chinese New Year in Hawaii is filled with traditions like the Lion dances in downtown Chinatown, eating special treats and lighting red firecrackers! For special occasions like Chinese New Year, Chinese families traditionally hand out envelopes filled with money to symbolize good luck and to ward off evil spirits.
Not wanting our pups to feel left out, we created our own version of this tradition – Doggie Lai See! Our envelopes aren’t filled with real money, but a currency that dogs will appreciate — Chicken-n-Poi flavored “coins”!
Each envelope is filled with 7 coin biscuits (approx. 1 oz) made from our most popular biscuit recipe: Chicken-n-Poi — whole wheat flour, cornmeal, vegetable oil, lean chicken and fresh poi! Never any salt, sugar, butter or preservatives!
Lasts 2-3 months unrefrigerated. May be frozen to last longer as well!
